Commissioning Engineer

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform overall commissioning of R&D prototypes, including mechanical verification, electrical verification, software-hardware integration, functional verification and performance optimisation.
  • Work closely with design engineers to conduct design verification, identify issues and provide recommendations for design improvement.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software and hardware integration issues during prototype commissioning.
  • Develop prototype commissioning SOPs, test specifications, commissioning reports and issue-tracking documentation.
  • Support new product trial production and transfer commissioning processes and technical knowledge to the Malaysia mass-production team.
  • Assist in establishing commissioning standards and processes for mass production.
  • Collaborate with test engineers on prototype performance testing and reliability verification.

Requirements

  • Degree or above in Mechatronics, Automation, Optoelectronic Technology or a related engineering discipline.
  • More than 3 years of assembly and commissioning experience within precision automation equipment.
  • Experience with optical or semiconductor equipment commissioning will be advantageous.
  • Familiar with mechanical assembly processes and electrical wiring specifications.
  • Able to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematic diagrams.
  • Capable of basic software and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Strong hands-on problem-solving capabilities with good documentation habits.
