NewPosition: Commissioning Engineer – Mechanical
Key Responsibilities

Execute and supervise all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities from completion of the hydro test through final system acceptance by the company.

Perform and coordinate vessel cleaning, internal inspection, final box-up, card blasting, sheet blasting, steam blowing, air blowing, and nitrogen purging activities.

Conduct motor solo runs, condition monitoring, and equipment/system walkthroughs as per approved P&IDs and commissioning procedures.

Prepare, track, and close punch points, ensuring timely rectification and system readiness for commissioning and handover.

Ensure PSV calibration and certification are completed as per project requirements.

Verify and ensure reinstatement of all piping systems following completion of testing and commissioning activities.

Ensure proper bolt torquing wherever applicable and coordinate low-pressure and high-pressure leak testing as required.

Conduct system walkdowns with the Operations team for punch-point identification, rectification, and final confirmation against the commissioning checklist.

Coordinate lube oil flushing activities for pumps and other applicable rotating equipment.

Implement and ensure compliance with system isolation and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures during commissioning activities.

Coordinate and execute Equipment Performance Guarantee Test Runs (PGTR) to verify equipment performance against specified contractual/project requirements.

Ensure CAMS systemization, system readiness, documentation, and completion of requirements for final handover to Operations/Client.

Coordinate with Construction, QA/QC, Operations, Maintenance, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely commissioning.

Ensure all commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures, HSE requirements, project specifications, P&IDs, and applicable standards.
Key Skills & Competencies
-
Strong knowledge of mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
-
Hands-on experience with piping, static equipment, rotating equipment, pressure testing, flushing, blowing, and system reinstatement.

Good understanding of P&IDs, commissioning procedures, punch-list management, and system handover.
-
Knowledge of LOTO, HSE requirements, and safe commissioning practices.
-
Experience in PSV calibration, leak testing, bolt torquing, lube oil flushing, and equipment performance testing.

Strong coordination and communication skills with multidisciplinary project teams.
-
Ability to work at project/construction sites and manage commissioning activities under tight project schedules.
Preferred Experience
-
Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Power, Chemical, or Industrial Projects.
-
Candidates with hands-on experience in pre-commissioning and commissioning of mechanical systems will be preferred.
-
Experience in large-scale EPC/project environments will be an advantage.
