Commissioning Instrumentation Supervisor
Summary
Oversee offshore instrumentation commissioning: loop checks, calibration, DCS/ESD/F&G tests, and handover to process teams while enforcing HSE and client standards.
• Supervise and coordinate all instrumentation commissioning activities on the offshore facility.
• Plan, organize and monitor commissioning tasks in line with project schedule and commissioning procedures.
• Supervise loop checks, functional tests, calibration and start-up of instrumentation and control systems.
• Interface with Mechanical, Electrical and Process commissioning teams to ensure smooth handover and integration.
• Review and validate commissioning procedures, punch lists and completion certificates (MC/RFC packages).
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and Saipem/Client technical standards throughout commissioning activities.
• Report daily progress, technical issues and punch-list status to the Commissioning Manager.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues during commissioning and start-up.
• Engineering degree or technical diploma in Instrumentation / Automation / Control Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8-10 years' experience in instrumentation commissioning, including supervisory roles, in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Significant offshore commissioning experience; prior EPC (Saipem or similar) project experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, control loops, DCS/ESD/F&G systems and commissioning documentation (MC/RFC).
• Proven team supervision and coordination skills within a multidisciplinary commissioning team.
• Valid offshore survival/safety certification (BOSIET or equivalent) and medical fitness for offshore work.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to work in a 56/28 offshore rotation schedule.
