Overview
The Electrical Commissioning Technician 2 assists in basic testing, maintenance, and installation of electrical equipment under close supervision. This entry-level role involves supporting more experienced technicians while gaining foundational knowledge and skills necessary for progression.
Responsibilities
- Assist in testing and maintenance of site/field equipment.
- Support the installation, rearrangement, and removal of equipment and associated wiring.
- Perform basic testing, moving, and adjustments of equipment.
- Assist in field construction inspection to ensure compliance with NETA specifications and plans.
- Maintain records and report inspection activities.
- Understand and apply basic knowledge of mathematics, engineering measuring devices, and safety procedures (including LOTO).
- Prep equipment for testing as directed by the commissioning lead.
- Assist in the operation of load banks and equipment with proper PPE.
- Participate in Operational Risk Management meetings (ORMs).
Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma with 3+ years of experience, or a combination of equivalent experience and training.
- Reliable Transportation
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
- Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record.
Desired Skills:
- Vocational school or education training is a plus.
