Summary
Commissioning Technician supporting startup, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of HVAC, mechanical, and building automation systems for commercial buildings. - Perform startup and commissioning activities for HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Test, troubleshoot, and verify operations of building automation and control systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, sequences of operation, and technical specifications.
- Assist with functional performance testing and system verification
- Document commissioning results, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, project teams, and customers during project execution.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety standards and jobsite requirements.
- Support field service and warranty calls as needed.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and commissioning reports.
- Communicate project updates and technical information clearly to supervisors and customers.
- Participate in training opportunities to expand technical knowledge and certifications.
- Experience with BAS platforms such as Trane, Siemens, Honeywell, or Distech.
- Knowledge of HVAC sequences of operation and control strategies.
- Construction or industrial field experience.
- Ability to use hand tools, meters, laptops, and diagnostic equipment.
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments with limited direction.
