Commissioning Technician

Position Summary:

OPEX Corporation is currently looking for a full time Commissioning Technician. This position will require the employee to be flexible with their hours and travel schedule. The position does require 50%-75% travel to installation locations within North America.

Responsibilities:

• Travel to installation sites to commission systems
• Installation, troubleshooting, and acceptance testing of warehouse automation material handling equipment.
• Interact with Sr. Support, and management to analyze and correct any equipment performance issues.
• Work with Engineering to troubleshoot new hardware and debug software.
• Completing and submitting weekly online timecards and expense report

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Electronics and/or equivalent hands-on job experience.
• Must have strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
• Possess a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to dis-assemble and repair electro-mechanical devices
• Must have related experience in working with computer controlled electro-mechanical equipment
• Proficient use of the Microsoft Windows operating system
• Basic networking skills
• Possessing a driver’s license, and ability to travel extensively.

Physical/Work Environment:

• Worker will be working in a warehouse environment
• Worker must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently
• Able to maneuver a job site, including small spaces in and around our equipment
• Squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, reaching forward will occur on the job
• Able to work while elevated on a scissor lift
