SUMMARY

CLIENT: A state-owned company in oil & energy trading

LOCATION: Dubai

SALARY: commensurate with relevant experience

As part of our client's business expansion, they are seeking an experienced Back-to-Back Energy Trader to join their Commercial team.

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of back-to-back trading experience within the oil and gas industry, with a strong understanding of commercial trading operations and market dynamics.

This position reports directly to the General Manager

THE ROLE

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers as well as identifying and pursuing relationships with new customers to expand customer base

Facilitate the sale and purchase of oil / gas products with counterparties, negotiate favorable terms for the customer and the company

Achieve the target profit of the respective book business plan through, including but not limited to:

Strategize a sustainable business flow /profit model

Conduct necessary marketing activities to support strategy

Execute / trading the strategy of the respective commodities

Adequate risk management in price and credit

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, industry regulations, supply & demand dynamics, international trade and geopolitical factors

Other ad hoc duties by the General Manager

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree with 5 to 10 years of experience in back-to-back trading in oil & energy trading environment, i.e. LPG, naphtha, fuel oil, sulphur, bitumen

Strong network and contacts in your area of expertise

Strong negotiation, communication, adaptability, and interpersonal skills

Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards at global level

Able to work independently yet good team player
