The School of Creative Arts (SCA), comprised of three well-established academic units: the Academy of Film, the Academy of Music, and the Academy of Visual Arts. Established on July 1, 2022, SCA is dedicated to nurturing future-ready talents for Hong Kong and beyond, while making a significant impact on society through innovative research and transdisciplinary studies. SCA is seeking a creative, strategic, and results-driven Communications Manager to lead content marketing and communications initiatives that enhance the visibility, reputation, and impact of all the activities in the Jockey Club Creative Hub and other education projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead content creation across multiple channels, including websites, social media platforms, publications, videos, and promotional materials, ensuring consistency in messaging and brand identity;
- Identify and develop compelling storytelling opportunities, working closely with faculty members, students, alumni, artists, researchers, donors, and partners to highlight achievements and success stories;
- Monitor media trends, audience insights, and digital analytics, preparing regular performance reports and recommendations to strengthen content effectiveness and engagement outcomes;
- Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies, including designers, photographers, videographers, and service providers, to deliver high-quality communication materials; and
- Undertake other communications and marketing duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A recognised bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Media, English, or a related discipline;
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in communications, content marketing, digital media, public relations, corporate communications, or a related field;
- Experience in higher education, arts, cultural organisations, or non-profit sectors would be an advantage;
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful content strategies across digital and traditional platforms;
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences and communication channels;
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media management, audience engagement, and content performance analytics;
- Experience managing content production projects, including working with designers, photographers, videographers, and external agencies;
- Excellent project management, organisational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital content management tools.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written / skills assessment.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review, mutual agreement and funding availability.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
