Communications Associate
Summary
Manages social media content creation, scheduling, and community engagement while coordinating video production and vendor relationships for a nonprofit AI research organization.
- Provide executional support in the rollout of social media IPs by gathering assets, coordinating schedules, and ensuring consistent posting.
- Script, shoot and edit short-form videos. You will be responsible for the "on-the-ground" execution of video concepts.
- Maintain and update the master content calendar to ensure all scheduled posts you work on are ready for review and deployment.
- Vendor Coordination: Facilitate the administrative side of creative production, including initiating RFPs (Request for Proposals) and managing the vendor onboarding/payment process.
- Community Management: Monitor social media comments and messages, flagging important queries for the social media lead.
- Event Management: Provide logistical, operational, and media support to the Communications team during live events, press meets, and external stakeholder engagements.
Requirements
- Experience: 3–4 years of experience in digital marketing/social media/advertising, preferably in the tech or development sector.
- Tech Stack: Hands-on experience with WordPress (backend) and basic video editing tools (CapCut, Canva, or similar).
- Communication: Strong writing skills with the ability to simplify technical AI concepts into relatable content.
- Organizational Skills: A knack for process—you should be comfortable navigating administrative tasks like RFPs and content scheduling.
- Collaboration: A team-player mindset, comfortable taking direction and feedback to refine output.
