Designation

Intern (Publishing and
Outreach)
Team - Outreach
Location - New Delhi
Reporting to Senior Communications Associate
Duration - 6 months (extendable
basis mutual agreement)
Purpose
To support the Outreach team
on a range of communication activities, including but not limited to
publishing, design, and coordination, researching the latest design trends in
print and online, outreach for new and existing communication projects, and other team activities.
An ideal candidate should possess
excellent communication and design sensibilities/skills, knowledge of current
design trends, and be interested in utilising design thinking to create easy-to-understand
information pieces. The candidate should be
solution-oriented, detail-oriented and committed to adhering to timelines.
Deliverables
and Responsibilities
● Support to create
an improved/ more contemporary design style for CEEW Publications: Work closely
with the Senior Communication Associate to refresh CEEW’s publication
template(s) in line with CEEW's brand
identity and communication objectives.
● Support the
production and printing of the Institutional Annual Report: Sort photos,
collate information, build a resource bank, look up the latest design trends,
coordinate with the team for additional resources and information, and assist in organising a coherent and visually appealing
report.
● Support the CEEW Research Publication process: Coordinate and manage
editing, design, coordination with vendor, printing, etc.).
● Research and collate the latest design trends for print and online publications.
● Assist with
outreach and research for existing and upcoming communications and outreach projects.
Other responsibilities
● Coordinate
with third-party vendors to ensure communication collaterals are produced
within given timelines, and all requirements are communicated to the vendors in a
timely manner.
● Provide
on-ground support for CEEW events.
● Support
the Outreach team in other tasks as and when required.
Requirements
and Qualifications
Education
● Master’s/Bachelor’s/PG
degree/Diploma in Design, Communications, Journalism or any related fields
preferred.
Work
experience and other skills
● 1-2 years’ experience in creating or managing publishing
illustrations, design production,
photography, or a similar role
● Demonstrated ability to manage/deliver visually appealing
layouts and designs.
● Familiarity
with researching design trends and communication best practices.
● Creative mindset with a keen eye for design aesthetics and
innovation.
● Proficiency
in graphic design software preferred such as such as Adobe Creative Suite
(Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, Illustrator), Canva, and other design tools would
be an added plus.
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an eye for
detail and project management abilities.
● Excellent grasp of English language
● Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
