Community Engagement Division Manager

The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library is seeking a creative and community-minded leader to serve as our Community Engagement Division Manager. This full-time position leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of outreach services, partnerships, programs, and community initiatives that strengthen the library's presence and relationships throughout the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Directly supervises Community Engagement division staff by providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
- Establishes department priorities, workflows, and service standards to ensure effective delivery of library services.
- Acts as a key library ambassador to the community, with primary responsibility for executing the library's community engagement and outreach strategies.
- Plans and implements library programs for all ages and coordinates community events in partnership with library staff and community organizations.
- Plans, implements, and oversees outreach, programming, and educational presentations for schools, day cares, senior centers, and other community-based organizations.
- Supervises Literacy Kit Outreach, depository, and lobby stop services to community locations, including scheduling and inventory.
- Builds partnerships with community organizations, schools, and local agencies, and represents the library on community committees.
- Ensures efficient use of staff, collections, and operational resources.
- Oversees pop-up vehicle, including interior and exterior maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from an ALA-accredited library program required.
- Progressively responsible managerial experience required.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining effective relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and organizations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
- Experience overseeing library operations in a public library setting preferred.
- Experience offering programs, outreach, and services to customers of all ages in a public library setting preferred.
Compensation
- Starting salary: $28.87/hour ($60,049 annually)
- Position is full-time
