SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Community Engagement Manager oversees all facets of the volunteer experience and recruitment of girls and adults in their assigned geographic area. This positions represents and promotes Girl Scouting in the community through collaboration and networking, to ensure the Girl Scout program is accessible to girls across all demographic groups.

This position will be located in our District 11 area which represents the Farmington area and includes Richwoods, Potosi, Valley, Kingston, Centerville, Lesterville, Reynolds County, Iron County, St. Francois County, and Farmington School Districts. It also includes charter and private schools. The ideal candidate will either reside in this area or be in close proximity.

At Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri, most of our roles work in a hybrid capacity (in office, remote, and/or in the field). Details will be provided during the interview process.

This position is full time with a competitive starting annualized starting salary of $47,448. Experience is considered.

Essential Job Duties

  • Research market data and other pertinent information to gain knowledge of demographics, community needs, and possibilities for girl and adult recruitment.
  • Create and implement short- and long-term strategies for the recruitment and retention of new girl and adult membership.
  • Hold community recruitment events for registration and placement of new members.
  • Represent and promote Girl Scouting in the community, building community awareness by highlighting the benefits of membership to the public.
  • Build a rapport/relationship with schools within the jurisdiction.
  • Oversee the volunteer experience for all participating adults in assigned area, providing a high level of support for all volunteer roles.
  • Ensure overall compliance with any applicable internal policies, guidelines and funding source regulations.
  • Serve as a collaborative team member, working to advance the mission of Girl Scouts.
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
