Community Habilitation- Direct Support Professional
POSITION SUMMARY: A Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for implementing and monitoring individualized Staff Action Plans, in compliance with state, federal, and agency regulations and operating standards. The DSP works directly with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other intellectual/developmental disabilities providing habilitative (skill building) and behavioral support. The DSP will work to increase skill level and support positive behavioral interactions through goals identified in the individualized plan. The DSP will provide services within the person’s home and in their community to promote independence, inclusion, and quality of life. This is a Home and Community Based Service that supports specific learning and growth objectives for individuals receiving services.
