Position Overview

- Location: Eemshaven, Netherlands (Official base: Arnhem, with regular travel in Northern Netherlands)

Role Objective
Working as part of the Stakeholder Management and Communications (SOMCOM) team for the major offshore energy infrastructure project Doordewind, this role supports senior strategic managers by executing operational and tactical communication strategies. The focus is on executing stakeholder engagement, managing communication channels, and organizing public participation processes across the Northern Netherlands region.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning & Execution: Develop, update, and implement annual communication and stakeholder plans alongside the SOMCOM team.
- Content & Channel Management: Draft project communications and manage digital tools, including CMS website updates, social media channels, and newsletters.
- Events & Stakeholder Meetings: Prepare, organize, and facilitate physical, digital, and hybrid stakeholder discussions, public meetings, and project events.
- Media & Issue Monitoring: Track local current events, community sentiment, and social media dynamics, translating insights into actionable project communications.
- System & File Management: Log stakeholder interactions, contacts, and requirements in specialized tools (SOM Solutions/CRM, Relatics) and maintain organized project documentation in SharePoint.
- Regional Engagement: Serve as an accessible contact point for local stakeholders and coordinate messaging with internal team members operating in the region.
- Team Continuity: Provide coverage for communication functions during team absences.
Candidate Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional Background: HBO or WO degree in Communication or a closely related discipline, paired with at least 3 years of experience in stakeholder management or infrastructure project communications.
- Regional Connection: Strong affinity with or connection to the Northern Netherlands region.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and social media platforms.
- Proficiency with CRM or stakeholder tracking databases.
- AI literacy with the ability to safely and effectively leverage modern AI tools in daily workflows.
- Languages: Professional fluency in both Dutch and English (CV and cover letter must be submitted in Dutch).
- Work & Travel Capabilities: Willingness to travel extensively across project sites and regional offices in Northern Netherlands, alongside a mandatory weekly presence at the main office in Arnhem on Mondays (hybrid working options available for remaining days).
- Screening: Successful completion of a Pre-Employment Screening (PES) and provision of a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) prior to the start date.
