Community manager

Community Manager (Southeast Asia Market):

Side International Japan is looking for a Community Manager who is passionate about digital communities and has a strong understanding of social media trends across the Southeast Asia market. If you are a native English speaker and proficiency in Traditional Chinese and/or Simplified Chinese is a plus, and you have a solid understanding of what drives engagement in online communities, especially within the gaming industry, we'd love to hear from you.

In this role, you will serve as a bridge between our game publisher clients and their players, monitoring online conversations, identifying emerging trends, and managing community content across various digital platforms.

What You'll Do:

Community Platform Management (Discord & Social Media)

- Monitor and manage online community platforms designated by the company.

- Foster community engagement by encouraging discussions, answering questions, and enforcing community guidelines.

Announcements & Updates

- Publish product updates, event information, and company news across community platforms.

- Manage content calendars and maintain consistent posting schedules.

Feedback Collection & Reporting

- Gather, analyze, and summarize community feedback, and escalate relevant insights to internal teams and clients.

- Conduct research and provide recommendations to improve global community operations and engagement strategies.

Event & Campaign Execution

- Plan and execute community engagement initiatives such as AMAs, contests, giveaways, and other promotional campaigns.

Brand Voice & Crisis Management

- Maintain a consistent brand voice that aligns with company values and client expectations.

- Follow established crisis communication guidelines when addressing sensitive issues.

Community Analytics

- Monitor user behavior and engagement metrics.

- Prepare and deliver periodic reports on community performance and user activity.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

- Native-level English proficiency (Japanese language skills are not required).

- Proficiency in Traditional Chinese and/or Simplified Chinese is a plus.

- 6 to 12 months of experience in social media or community management, including platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Discord, and others.

- Experience engaging with gaming communities, either professionally or as an active community member.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret community trends and engagement metrics.

- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

- A passion for gaming and social media is highly desirable.

- Must currently reside in Japan and hold a valid work visa.
