Community Marketing Strategic Account Manager

Job Summary:

The Community Marketing Strategic Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing the execution of CareSource community marketing strategy for assigned products. This role ensures alignment between sales objectives and community engagement efforts to drive product success and strengthen CareSource's presence within target markets.

Essential Functions:

  • Create and manage a structured partnership strategy that promotes cross-functional collaboration, aligns key stakeholders, and supports community marketing goals in conjunction with quality withhold initiatives.
  • Develop and advance stakeholder communication strategies, including enterprise press releases, social media, and targeted messaging to strategic partners, to support ODM initiatives and drive membership growth.
  • Coordinate impact on Quality Withhold revenue across strategic partners supporting directives and profitability.
  • Implement new state or federal requirements by creating and executing a retention strategy with stakeholders, including presentations, coordination, and key messaging.
  • Responsible for performance management of partner adherence with sponsorship and collaboration agreements.
  • Innovate and develop relationships with regional and statewide community organizations, associations, and partners to support marketing and sales initiatives for assigned products including budget and financial oversight.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including sponsorship fulfillment, vendor setup, staffing, and compliance with agreements.
  • Assist in implementing CareSource’s sales and community marketing strategies by collaborating with cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records and tracking systems to ensure regulatory compliance and drive growth and retention goals.
  • Maintain operational processes, including training coordination and adherence to company policies within the community marketing function.
  • Track, analyze, and report on community marketing performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support communication between community marketing teams and leadership by sharing updates and relevant information.
  • Assist in identifying and developing relationships with new community partners that contribute to growth objectives.
  • Work with marketing and sales teams to support campaign execution, market analysis, and resource planning.
  • Maintain up-to-date lists of organizations, events, contacts, and sponsorship activities.
  • Maintain assigned sponsorship budgets and ensure timely and accurate spend tracking.
  • Travel as necessary to support events and partnerships within Ohio and statewide.
  • Perform any other job related duties as requested.


Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree in business administration, communications, marketing or related field required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Equivalent years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of required education
  • Five (5) years of account management experience, negotiating and managing relationships with private and public organizations required
  • Medicaid, Marketplace and Medicare experience required

  • Maintain state and federal regulatory knowledge for compliance.

  • Execute effective use of CRM system.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Current, unrestricted Insurance License in Accident and Health within state of assigned territory is required, or ability to achieve license within 30 days of hire.
  • Must have valid driver's license, vehicle and verifiable insurance. Employment in this position is conditional pending successful clearance of a driver’s license record check. If the driver’s license record results are unacceptable, the offer will be withdrawn or, if employee has started employment in position, employment in this position will be terminated
  • To help protect our employees, members, and the communities we serve from acquiring communicable diseases, Influenza vaccination is a requirement of this position. CareSource requires annual proof of Influenza vaccination for designated positions during Influenza season (October 1 – March 31) as a condition of continued employment. Employees hired during Influenza season will have thirty (30) days from their hire date to complete the required vaccination and have record of immunization verified.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a mobile position, meaning that regular travel to different work locations, including homes, offices or other public settings, is essential.
    Will be exposed to weather conditions typical of the location and may be required to stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
    Must reside in the same territory they are assigned to work in; exceptions may be considered, due to business need
    May be required to travel greater than 50% of time to perform work duties.
    Required to use general office equipment, such as a telephone, photocopier, fax machine, and computer
    Flexible hours, including possible evenings and/or weekends as needed to serve the needs of our members
  • Over 50% (Mobile) Routine travel required

Compensation Range:

$72,200.00 - $115,500.00

CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
