Community Relations Coordinator
You will coordinate corporate, community, and internal events; manage vendors, guest communications, event logistics, and readiness checks. You will oversee hospitality suite operations, ticket allocation, food and beverage service, and expense records. You will also support stakeholder relationships, represent the organization at local events, and coordinate partnerships, sponsorships, grants, and engagement reporting.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate logistics for public, community-facing, and internal events
- Manage vendor relationships for catering, audiovisual services, décor, and venue selection
- Develop event timelines, run-of-show documents, and post-event summaries
- Collaborate with internal teams to align events with brand standards and community relations strategy
- Handle guest communications, RSVPs, and day-of attendee management
- Conduct site visits and final walk-throughs
- Manage hospitality suite operations at a local sports and entertainment venue
- Track, allocate, and distribute tickets to stakeholders and guests
- Coordinate food and beverage service with venue staff
- Maintain records of suite usage, guest lists, and related expenses
- Support relationships with local leaders, civic organizations, nonprofits, and community stakeholders
- Represent the organization at community meetings, public forums, local events, and civic functions
- Coordinate community partnerships, sponsorships, and grant program activities
- Track community engagement activities, stakeholder contacts, and outreach efforts
Requirements
- 2 or more years of experience in event coordination, hospitality, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple events and timelines simultaneously
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills in high-touch guest and stakeholder settings
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Communications, or a related field preferred but not required
- Ability to work evenings and weekends on an event-driven schedule
