Community Support Services - OT

Program Overview:

The Community Support Program delivers comprehensive outpatient mental health care and individualized support for adults living with chronic mental health conditions. Interns work alongside clinicians to assist clients in developing life skills and accessing resources.

• Occupational Therapy (OT) Intern
  • Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:
    • Conduct assessments to identify functional strengths and challenges.
    • Develop and lead groups targeting life skills, vocational readiness, and wellness.
    • Design individual OT-based interventions to support recovery goals.
    • Work within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care strategies.
    • Improve documentation and monitoring skills within a community mental health setting.
