Columbia Community Mental Health is a nonprofit agency and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic that provides services to individuals with mental, addiction and developmental disabilities.

Position: Community Support Specialist
Department: Residential - Cornerstone
Shift: Friday - Monday, from 11:00pm to 7:30am (0vernight), totaling 32 hours per week.
Salary Range: $22.86 to $30.47 (hourly). There are 15 steps on our salary scale. We use a bona fide factor system to determine starting wage (years of experience, education, credentials, and specialty skills that relate to the job requirements).

Position Requirements: High school diploma/equivalency preferred and at least one-year experience working with serious mentally ill. Combination of education/experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties outlined for this position may be considered.
Summary: Provides direct client services to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illnesses and/or addiction issues who reside in the agency residential facilities. To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required: Abilities to teach activities of daily living: housekeeping, cooking, personal hygiene, and personal finance. Must have the knowledge/abilities to model appropriate interpersonal/vocational skills/behaviors. Able to deal effectively with high stress situations, handle unusual human behavior, resolve conflict. Reliable transportation, good driving record, valid driver’s license, and proof of current automobile insurance.
