What We Offer
Starting wage of $21.19/hour
Mileage reimbursement at $0.50/km

About the Role
As a Community Disability Practitioner, you will support adults with developmental disabilities, autism, ADHD, and complex behavioural needs in a group living setting. Working alongside a diverse team, you will help individuals achieve their goals, develop independence, and participate fully in community life.
Key Responsibilities
Provide emotional, physical, behavioural, and personal care supports
Assist with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, and household tasks
Support individuals with community participation and recreational activities
Follow individual support plans and behaviour support strategies
Accompany individuals to appointments and community outings
Complete accurate documentation and reports
Utilize de-escalation and crisis intervention strategies when required

Minimum Qualifications
Certificate or Diploma in Human Services, Disability Studies, or a related field (international credentials may require WES or IQAS assessment)
Intermediate computer and Microsoft Office skills
Valid Class 5 driver's licence
Reliable vehicle with minimum $2 million liability insurance
Ability to support individuals with diverse disabilities and complex needs
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the human services field
Group home experience
Personal care experience
Experience supporting individuals with autism
Knowledge of CPI, de-escalation techniques, and sensory support strategies
Current certifications such as First Aid/CPR, Medication Administration, CPI/NVCI, APRP, or PBS
