As a Habilitation Technician / Companion, you provide 1:1 in-home and community support for individuals with autism, intellectual, or developmental disabilities—assisting with daily tasks, hobbies, and personal care while teaching life skills and encouraging independence. This is an entry-level to mid-level caregiving role in Hawaii offering flexible scheduling, benefits, and on-the-job training.

Seeking recent graduates, Paraprofessionals, Direct Support Professionals, Habilitation Technicians, Personal Care Aides, Nurse’s Aides, Caregivers, those caring for a family member, and those interested in working with individuals with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and other Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDDs).
BAYADA Habilitation is currently seeking a Habilitation Technician to work as a Caregiver for individuals with autism, intellectual, or developmental disabilities. Compassionate caregivers embody both empathy and respect in every interaction, striving to uplift and empower the people they support. Our caregivers provide 1:1 support in the home and in the community.
How You’ll Make an Impact:

Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities.

Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation.

Participate in community integration activities, errands, and appointments.

Patiently teach, encourage, and celebrate small achievements, giving people the space to grow.

Opportunity to enhance caregiving skills with support from our on-staff nurse and managers.

Qualifications:

One year experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or development disabilities
- Ability to transport clients to community activities

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Be at least 18 years of age
- The ability to read and write in English
