Company Driver

Drive a light vehicle, such as a truck or van, with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), primarily to deliver or pick up merchandise or to deliver packages. May load and unload vehicle.

• Strictly obey all traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition immediately reporting any mechanical problems; regularly complete vehicle inspection report.
• Load and unload trucks and other delivery vehicles.
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
• Pick up PO’s and ensure the accurate and timely completion daily delivery logs.
• Read maps and follow GPS and/or written & verbal geographic directions.
• Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to manager.
• Must perform job in a safe manner and observe all safety rules and guidelines.
