Compliance AML Manager

AML / Compliance Team Lead | Singapore

We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation in the insurance industry to hire an experienced AML/Compliance professional to join its second-line compliance function.

This is a hands-on team lead role, managing a small team of 2 direct reports while remaining closely involved in AML/CTF monitoring, investigations, regulatory change and compliance enhancements.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the second-line AML/CTF monitoring and assessment programme
• Review and strengthen AML/CTF policies, procedures and controls
• Provide oversight and challenge to first-line monitoring and investigation activities
• Review suspicious activity cases and ensure appropriate escalation to the MLRO and management
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate requirements into practical business enhancements
• Analyse AML data and identify control gaps, trends and emerging risks
• Drive improvements across AML processes, systems, reporting and automation
• Support AML/CTF investigations, remediation initiatives and compliance projects
• Manage and develop 2 direct reports, ensuring quality, consistency and timely delivery
• Support AML/CTF awareness and refresher training across the business

What we're looking for:

• More than 6 years of AML/Compliance experience within financial services
• Strong exposure to AML/CTF monitoring, compliance testing, investigations or second-line oversight
• Comfortable providing challenge to business and operational stakeholders
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to lead a small team while remaining hands-on technically
• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
• AML/Compliance professional qualifications would be an advantage
