Role Overview

The Compliance Lawyer serves as a senior advisor to firm leadership on regulatory, professional responsibility, and risk matters, with the authority and access to information needed to identify, escalate, and address compliance concerns.

- Help determine whether activities constitute legal services, law-related services, or other services where that classification affects regulatory compliance.
- Own policies on conflicts of interest, attorney independence, confidentiality, privilege, supervision, professional responsibility, and the use of technology and AI in legal-service delivery.
- Monitor the firm’s required Arizona attorney coverage and other personnel or governance requirements for its ABS license.
- Oversee required ABS regulatory filings, audits, notifications, certifications, and responses to regulatory inquiries.
- Conduct or oversee periodic compliance reviews and identify areas requiring remediation.
- Provide or coordinate professional-responsibility and ABS compliance training.
- Escalate material compliance concerns directly to the GM and executive leadership.
- Coordinate with the Managing Attorney on compliance issues arising from client matters.
Qualifications
- Active member in good standing of the State Bar of Arizona.
- Satisfies all qualifications required to serve as Compliance Lawyer under applicable Arizona ABS regulations.

- Experience evaluating technology and AI-enabled legal workflows preferred.
- Ability to exercise independent professional judgment and communicate directly with senior leadership.
