Why this role matters
As an Operational Compliance Officer, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring our products, processes, and teams operate with integrity, consistency, and compliance. You’ll help transform regulatory requirements into practical initiatives, support audits (Internal & External), and guide the business through risks, issues, incidents and opportunities.
Your work ensures our global operations remain trusted, safe, and aligned with ever‑evolving regulatory landscapes. In short—you help keep the engine running smoothly.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll play a hands‑on, collaborative role across the business, including:
Compliance Requirements Management
- Analyse regulatory and compliance requirements and translate them into meaningful actions for product, project teams.
- Work alongside teams to ensure compliance requirements are understood and implemented throughout the product/ feature lifecycle.
Audit Support & Certification
- Support audit teams with scoping, evidence review and identifying high‑risk areas.
- Facilitate audit finding discussions and help the business plan and execute corrective actions.
Compliance Support & Advisory
- Review policies, procedures, business requirement documents, and test strategies to ensure compliance is embedded in everything we build and in line with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a central repository of compliance documentation.
- Identify risks, issues and opportunities—then help the business address them in smart, sustainable ways.
Incident Management (Support 24/7 Rotational Basis)
- Review incidents to determine whether incidents need to be raised.
- Communicate incidents and corrective actions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Approve preventative and corrective measures to strengthen compliance.
Planning & Continuous Improvement
- Estimate effort for your work and escalate risks that could impact timelines or quality.
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities in processes, tools, and methods.
- Develop and roll-out training for the business to build compliance awareness and confidence.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Highlight importance of training for the business to build compliance awareness and confidence.
Qualifications & Experience
- LLB; BCOM Law or current certifications in compliance will be considered
- 2–4 years relevant compliance experience
- Experience in the gambling industry is a bonus
