Summary
A 12-month fixed-term Compliance Program Manager role at Farfetch in London, owning end-to-end compliance pillars: reviewing and rolling out global compliance policies, running training and awareness, managing ethics declarations, and enforcing regulatory/product compliance (CE, UKCA, INFORM Act) for the global luxury fashion marketplace. Hybrid, 3 days a week in the Old Street office.

LEGAL, ETHICS AND COMPLIANCE
Working in close partnership, the Legal and Ethics & Compliance (E&C) teams operate as a strategic business area helping us navigate the complexities of a global business. The Legal team acts as guardians of our legal integrity, providing expert advice to protect our interests and manage risks. Alongside them, the E&C team drives our commitment to doing business the right way by developing robust compliance frameworks, monitoring regulatory adherence, and fostering a strong culture of ethical conduct.
LONDON
Our London office is located in Old Street, London’s tech hub, and is home to a wide range of teams. Our open space is ideal for collaborative work and sharing ideas. We also have a large outdoor terrace, which is the perfect spot to have a team lunch or host events.
THE ROLE
The Compliance team is focused on ensuring regulatory compliance as well as compliance with our Code of Conduct and Company Policies.
As a Compliance Program Manager, you will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for the end-to-end management of critical compliance pillars... Your expertise will ensure that our global operations remain ethical, compliant with international and external regulations.
Please note: This is a 12m FTC role.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Overall Program Management
- Lead the periodic review, enhancement, and localized rollout of global compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with evolving business needs and regulatory landscapes.
- Monitor and manage the compliance group email to ensure continuous and seamless communication.
- Review and provide operational guidance on generic compliance advice requests from across the business.
- Centrally manage compliance activities and maintain program trackers, utilizing this data to prepare and deliver periodic compliance reports for senior leadership.
- Training and Awareness
- Raise awareness of Ethics & Compliance policies and standards amongst existing employees and lead the onboarding processes for new employees.
- Manage the global Training & Awareness (T&A) calendar, ensuring all mandatory compliance training modules and communications are appropriately and timely developed and implemented across the organization.
- Ethics & Policy Governance
- Raise awareness of Ethics & Compliance policies and standards, including the Code of Conduct, Conflicts of Interest, Gift & Entertainment policies etc. amongst existing employees and lead the onboarding processes for new employees.
- Ensure relevant compliance policies are updated/refreshed from time to time. Deploy suitable training for at-risk populations on compliance policies and requirements.
- Implement a compliance declaration process and tools/forms for new joiners and existing employees. Actively review and manage these declarations in line with company policies.
- Regulatory and Product Compliance
- Develop and enforce a robust compliance framework to ensure relevant controls are in place to comply with regional safety, labelling, and certification standards (e.g., CE, UKCA, or INFORM Act) across a multi-jurisdictional marketplace.
- Collaborate with business and legal teams to define restricted-item policies and automated gatekeeping/blocking mechanisms for high-risk product groups.
- Other Compliance Initiatives
- Support the wider compliance team with other compliance initiatives across related compliance areas from time to time.
- Provide timely and relevant information and feedback to the wider Compliance team and respective business functions to plug process gaps or internal control defects.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with robust experience managing corporate ethics and compliance programs.
- Strong project management and analytical skills, with a proven track record of successfully overseeing complex, cross-functional initiatives and operationalizing compliance frameworks.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, easily understood guidance for the business.
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working autonomously to drive program deliverables while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring compliance policies, conflict of interest programs, and global training rollouts.
