COMPOSITE/PLASTIC WORKER

Summary

Repairs and restores composite or plastic aircraft parts by following blueprints and technical directives to fix damage like scratches, dents, or delamination.

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the Domestic DIB, MRTFB Direct Hire Authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer.

You will perform standard and routine repairs, restore, and remove composite or plastic parts and structures with surface damage such as chips, scratches, minor cuts, pits, abrasion, dents, perform wet layups, delamination, dis-bond, and bubbles.

You will assemble vacuum bags and make basic repairs to restore the aerodynamic smoothness of parts in order to prevent further damage.

You will independently, with minimal oversight and follow specific instructions and use established methods, processes, blueprints, and technical directives to accomplish routine assignments.
