As a Composite Trimmer / Fitter Technician, you will be the person who takes carbon fibre parts from raw moulding to race ready, trimming, fitting and bonding to tolerances measured in fractions of a millimetre. If precision is second nature to you and you want to see your work on the grid, we want to hear from you.

What you'll be doing:

  • Trimming composite material using specialised hand and power tools, working to dimensions and tolerances from engineering drawings.
  • Fitting composite components ready for bonded assemblies.
  • Bonding and assembling composite components in line with company procedures and standards.
  • Carrying out composite repairs, such as filling voids or repairing damage, using appropriate repair techniques.
  • Self-inspecting finished parts to guarantee conformance to stringent engineering drawings and procedures.

  • Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe, in line with 5S and LEAN principles.
  • Following data capturing processes to stay compliant with regulations.

This job description is not exhaustive, and the job holder will be required to carry out from time-to-time tasks in addition to the above that will be both reasonable and within their capabilities.

This role operates on a night shift, Monday to Thursday, working 18:15 to 04.45.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in trimming and assembly experience, ideally gained in Formula 1 or another high precision motorsport manufacturing environment.
  • Confidence trimming composite components to precise dimensions.
  • A solid understanding of adhesive specifications and their properties.
  • Knowledge of a range of surface preparation methods for composite bonding.
  • Proficiency in composite repair techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine team ethic, working well with colleagues across composites and beyond.
  • A quality first mindset, with the discipline to manage your own workload and hit deadlines.
