What You’ll Build

Set up concrete forms and help ensure proper alignment and leveling.

Mix concrete to specified ratios and prepare it for proper application.

Pour, spread, smooth, and finish concrete using shovels, trowels, screeds, and floats.

Operate concrete mixers, vibrators, saws, trowels, and other power tools and machinery safely and efficiently.

Transport and handle the materials, tools, and equipment needed for concrete construction.

Apply sealants and waterproofing materials to protect concrete surfaces as required.

Perform basic carpentry related to building and dismantling formwork.

Monitor concrete as it hardens and follow established curing procedures to help prevent defects.

Cut expansion joints and concrete edges using appropriate tools.

Inspect finished concrete work for quality and compliance with building codes.

Repair imperfections or damage to concrete surfaces as directed.

Maintain a clean and safe jobsite by removing debris and hazardous materials.

Collaborate with construction team members to complete projects on time and to specifications.

Follow safety protocols, wear required personal protective equipment and participate in safety training.
