Description

Conestoga Driver | Fond du Lac Area | $1,600/Week | $72,000-$87,000/Year Potential | $2,500 Sign-On

Hauling steel without the tarp. This Conestoga job keeps you home every night, gives you every weekend off, and puts a $2,500 sign-on bonus on the table to get you started.

Let's start with the paycheck. Drivers average about $1,600 a week, which puts annual potential between $72,000 and $87,000. You earn $0.61 a mile and $19 a stop, plus $23 an hour in detention pay once you've waited past the first hour. There's a $23 per diem too, and everything is paid weekly.

Mornings begin at 5:00 a.m., and days run about 10 to 12 hours. It's Monday to Friday, you're home daily, and weekends are completely yours.

The freight is finished specialty steel: tubing, pipe, valves and fittings. You'll drive assigned late-model equipment pulling a Conestoga, so the rolling tarp system does the covering for you. Your part is securing the load, and you'll help with unloading when it's needed.

Here's what we're hoping you bring:

- A valid Class A CDL

- 9 months of tractor-trailer driving in the last 3 years

- Okay with a urine and hair follicle drug test

Background questions come later in the hiring process, like at most jobs, so there's nothing to dig up before you apply.

What comes with the job:

- Medical, vision, dental, life and disability insurance

- Prescription coverage

- Paid time off, earned vacation and holiday pay

- 401(k) with a company match

If you want steel freight with no tarping and your weekends back, send in your application and we'll be in touch.
