Conference Events & Meeting Planning Senior Manager
Be part of a team that creates memorable experiences! GCSAA is seeking an experienced meeting and event professional to help lead the planning, execution and continuous improvement of GCSAA’s annual conference trade show and events. This role partners closely with the Director, Conference Events & Meeting Planning to deliver exceptional experiences for members, attendees, exhibitors, sponsors and other stakeholders while supporting the long-term growth and success of the association.
This position will play a key role in managing conference and trade show logistics, housing operations, budgets, vendor and venue relationships, sponsorship opportunities and attendee experience enhancements. The Senior Manager will also collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure events are thoughtfully planned, professionally executed and continuously enhanced.
Qualified candidates possess:
- Eight plus (8+) years of meeting and event management experience, including large conferences and trade shows
- Proven ability to plan and execute complex events from development through on-site execution, including directing vendors and managing event logistics
- Strong experience with event budgets, hotel contracts, conference housing and vendor agreements
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, solve problems quickly and maintain strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with internal teams, vendors, venues and external partners
- Experience developing and managing event sponsorship opportunities and collaborating across teams to support event promotion and attendee experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to travel up to 25%, including overnight stays
- CMP designation; experience with eShow, Social Tables or Passkey; and nonprofit, membership association, golf or sports industry experience are valued, but not required
- Position must live within a commutable distance from our headquarters office in Lawrence, KS.

Salary: $75,000 - $78,000/annually
