A Configuration Manager will oversee the lifecycle, version control, and consistency of software, hardware, or system components. They will develop configuration strategies, manage change control processes, and maintain accurate records in a Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The role is a blend of administrative tracking, auditing, and engineering change management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement configuration management plans, policies, and procedures.
- Establish and maintain accurate configuration baselines for hardware, software, and documentation.
- Oversee engineering change requests (ECRs) and support
- Support asset tracking accuracy and lifecycle visibility.
- Conduct regular configuration audits and verification tests to check consistency against actual infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 to 5+ years in IT service management, software development, or systems engineering operations.
- Familiarity with CMDB tools, ITIL frameworks, and version control or tracking software (e.g., Polarion, Team Foundation Server, ServiceNow).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and cross-functional communication skills.
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. $125,000—$158,400 USD
