Configuration Manager

About the role

You will join the configuration department/area of our facility located in Las Matas.

Your mission will be, participating directly in the development of new products, the management, implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of the configuration management process transversally at Talgo throughout the entire product life cycle and in the management of the obsolescence of its components and change control.

What you'll do

• Establishing and maintaining the "variability tree and structure" of the project.
• Identifying the configuration items - necessary and sufficient - and their requirements to ensure traceability throughout the entire life cycle.
• Carrying out proactive configuration and baseline management, according to the project phases and the validation strategy, ensuring the development progresses in a planned, synchronized, compatible, and known manner... organizing and optimizing the work derived from pending modifications.
• Leading, streamlining, and ensuring the application of the change management procedure, to guarantee:
• • • The correct impact analysis, coordination, implementation/compatibility with other modifications, budgeting, and approval by the appropriate level according to the complexity of each modification.
    • Its release after the necessary validation/authorization.
• Ensuring proper obsolescence management, optimizing the strategy to follow in each case (proactive or reactive) to minimize risks to operations.

What are we looking for? 🔍🔍

• Education in Technical Engineering / Degree in Engineering.
• Knowledge / experience in the railway sector.
• Knowledge of PLM/SAP (Advanced Excel level valued)
• Advanced level of English, at least B2. German valued
• Knowledge of Configuration Management in industrial environments valued.
• Knowledge of the product and the development and modification management processes.
• Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, and product warranty/after-sales processes, and general knowledge of the supply chain.
• Knowledge of the process map, applicable regulations or references: ISO TS 22163 (IRIS 2017), ISO 10007, CMMI.
