Job Description
- Conduct confined space risk assessments before work commences.
- Assess atmospheric hazards using approved gas detection equipment.
- Determine whether the confined space is safe for entry.
- Recommend appropriate control measures to eliminate or minimise hazards.
- Issue and endorse confined space assessment reports.
- Advise supervisors on safe entry procedures and emergency arrangements.
- Review confined space work activities to ensure continued compliance.
- Maintain assessment records and ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Possess valid WSQ Assess Confined Space for Safe Entry and Work (CSSA) certification.
- Good knowledge of WSH Act and Confined Space Regulations.
- Experience in industrial plants, marine, oil & gas, construction, or manufacturing preferred.
- Competent in atmospheric testing and hazard identification.
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
- Able to work independently and make safety-critical decisions.
