- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions spanning embedded devices, edge platforms, and cloud services.
- Develop telemetry, monitoring, and remote diagnostic capabilities to improve fleet and device reliability.
- Design and maintain over-the-air software and firmware update mechanisms.
- Collaborate with cloud, web, data, and AI teams to deliver connected product capabilities.
- Lead embedded software architecture and technical design for Linux, Windows IoT, and microcontroller-based platforms, including operating system strategy, application frameworks, device interfaces, communication protocols, diagnostics, performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
- Design, implement, debug, test, and maintain production-quality embedded software, including application code, system services, device connectivity, user-interface components, integration layers, and tooling required to support embedded product functionality.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies related to edge computing, cloud services, IoT connectivity, and AI-enabled diagnostics.
- Support secure and compliant product development by contributing to software risk analysis, cybersecurity maintenance, vulnerability remediation, traceability, design reviews, verification evidence, and lifecycle documentation consistent with applicable quality system expectations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience with diverse coding background in C, C++, C#, and Node, including demonstrated experience:
- developing on embedded Linux and Windows IoT platforms;
- developing multimedia and computer-vision applications, including GStreamer pipeline development, camera integration, video capture and streaming, hardware-accelerated video processing, and integration with AI/ML inference frameworks;
- developing embedded user interfaces with QT, Maui, Avalonia, and headless web applications:
- working with 16-bit and/or 32-bit microcontrollers;
- with protocols such as MQTT, HTTP, TCP/IP, UART, I2C, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to interact effectively with cross-functional groups and subject matter experts.
- Minimal travel (up to 10%).
