Construction & Assets Manager

We are looking for an energetic, ambitious, and technically skilled professional to take full ownership of the construction, store remodeling, and Asset Management across Decathlon stores in Bulgaria.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construction & Remodeling Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee all construction, renovation, internal layout changes and space reorganizations within retail stores.

• Asset Management: Oversee the inventory, tracking, and condition monitoring of the company's fixed assets.

• Technical Drawings & Layouts: Draft and adapt technical drawings, store schemes, and layouts using AutoCAD.

• Technical Advisory: Provide expert input and technical guidance for specifications and requirements to the Maintenance team.

• Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of a project from planning, budgeting, and execution to completion, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and according to design and brand specifications.

• Budget Management: Monitor and control project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and strict adherence to financial targets.

• Coordination & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with architects, design engineers across all disciplines, project managers, health & safety experts, subcontractors, local authorities, and internal stakeholders to guarantee successful project execution.

• Monitoring & Reporting: Track progress, monitor milestones, and ensure adherence to the project plan. Regularly report on project progress, challenges, and achievements to senior management.

• Quality Control: Enforce high-quality construction standards, ensuring that all site execution strictly meets technical designs and brand specifications.

• Proactive Problem Solving: Identify and resolve on-site and elsewhere challenges, design clashes, and execution bottlenecks efficiently to prevent delays and help other internal teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Higher Education: Master's degree in an Engineering discipline or Architecture from an accredited university in Bulgaria (e.g., UACEG, TU Sofia or equivalent) in fields such as Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, Electrical Engineering

• Experience: Early-to-mid career profile (3–5 years of experience) in construction management, store alterations, or site execution. We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation who is eager to learn and adapt to Decathlon’s unique culture.

Technical & Practical Skills:

• Excellent general computer literacy.

• Technical Literacy: Proficiency in AutoCAD including the ability to create, read and adapt technical drawings, store schemes and internal layouts.

• Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret complex project documentation across all disciplines (architecture, construction, electricity, HVAC, IT, CCTV, FA, etc.

• Language: Proficiency in Bulgarian and English.

• Valid Category B driving license and active driving experience.
