Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead teams to deliver quality construction work within strict deadlines
- Monitor construction processes and conduct training and team-building sessions to enhance performance
- Enforce adherence to health and safety regulations throughout project sites
- Perform inspections of equipment, materials, and construction sites to ensure compliance and quality
- Schedule and lead regular meetings with vendors, site inspectors, managers, and staff to align project progress
- Prepare and present reports, budgets, and project plans to relevant stakeholders for informed decision-making
- Collaborate closely with architects and other professionals to ensure project specifications are met
- Stay informed on current safety codes and advancements in construction methods to maintain best practices
- Assist in recruiting and training new staff to build a competent project team
- Manage project documentation and travel to multiple sites as required to oversee operations
- Communicate effectively in English and Mandarin to support diverse team and stakeholder interactions
- Work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays, to meet project demands
Required competencies and certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in the construction industry
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin for effective communication
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in a leadership role within construction projects
- Additional technical qualifications or certifications related to construction
