About the Role

ADDMORE Services LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Business Development & Preconstruction Analyst to support business development, estimating, bidding, and preconstruction activities for projects in the U.S. construction market.

This is a hybrid role combining construction knowledge, preconstruction analysis, estimating support, opportunity identification, and business development.

The successful candidate will be able to review construction opportunities from both a technical and commercial perspective, helping identify projects worth pursuing, analyzing drawings and specifications, supporting quantity takeoffs and estimates, coordinating bid information, and following opportunities throughout the preconstruction and business development process.

We are looking for someone who understands how construction projects move from opportunity identification through bidding and preconstruction, and who can communicate effectively with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, developers, clients, and internal project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and research potential construction projects and business opportunities in the U.S. market.
  • Review bid invitations, project opportunities, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and related documentation.
  • Evaluate opportunities based on project scope, size, location, timing, client fit, competition, profitability, and likelihood of award.
  • Support the preparation of quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, budgets, and preliminary pricing.
  • Analyze drawings and specifications to identify project requirements, scope gaps, and potential risks.
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of bid packages, proposals, and preconstruction documentation.
  • Request, collect, and compare quotations from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Perform scope comparisons and identify exclusions, discrepancies, or incomplete subcontractor proposals.
  • Support subcontractor and vendor outreach during the estimating and bidding process.
  • Maintain organized records of opportunities, bids, estimates, contacts, and follow-up activities.
  • Track project opportunities through different stages of the business development and preconstruction pipeline.
  • Conduct follow-ups with general contractors, developers, subcontractors, vendors, and other construction stakeholders.
  • Assist with identifying key decision-makers and potential client relationships.
  • Support business development outreach through email, calls, and professional networking when required.
  • Coordinate RFIs, scope clarifications, bid questions, and other preconstruction communications.
  • Work closely with estimating, project management, operations, and business development teams.
  • Assist in analyzing project feasibility, constructability, schedule requirements, and commercial viability.
  • Monitor bid deadlines, project milestones, and outstanding actions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely information within CRM, estimating, or project-management systems.
  • Provide regular updates regarding active opportunities, bids, follow-ups, and business development activity.

Requirements

  • Degree or professional background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in construction estimating, preconstruction, project coordination, cost engineering, or construction business development.
  • Strong understanding of the construction bidding and preconstruction process.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with quantity takeoffs, cost estimation, budgeting, or bid preparation.
  • Understanding of subcontractor scopes, vendor quotations, materials, labor, and construction costs.
  • Ability to analyze construction opportunities from both a technical and commercial perspective.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with U.S.-based contractors, clients, vendors, and project teams.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Availability to work during U.S. business hours, aligned with client and project requirements.
