Utilizing state of the art strategies, processes and human capital, Controlled ensures the highest degree of service and integrity for the sensitive environment we support; impacting those industries that impact the world.

The Construction Cleaner Lead directs and performs site cleaning operations across construction sites, newly built structures, and controlled environments. This position combines hands-on cleaning duties (surface wipe-downs, floor scrubbing/mopping, trash removal, and site preparation) with crew lead responsibilities to ensure that work meets company and client Scope of Work (SOW) standards. The role exists to maintain site safety and cleanliness, enforce mandatory PPE requirements, train on-site cleaning staff, and assist site management in delivering high-quality, inspection-ready facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and execute daily cleaning operations: Lead and perform daily cleaning tasks across non-live construction sites and newly built facility areas, including wiping down surfaces, cleaning concrete floors, removing dust/stains, and clearing trash to ensure site readiness.
  • Enforce safety protocols and PPE compliance: Strictly enforce on-site safety rules and mandate proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, including hard hats, composite or steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests.
  • Monitor quality and SOP compliance: Conduct routine site walkthroughs to audit cleaning quality, ensure compliance with SOP/SOW guidelines, identify service variances, and execute immediate corrective actions.
  • Train and mentor cleaning crew: Train and onboard cleaning crew members on proper cleaning procedures, chemical safety (SDS guidelines), tool usage, and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment: Safely operate commercial floor scrubbers and specialized surface cleaning tools, ensuring proper equipment operation, routine cleaning, and basic daily maintenance.
  • Manage debris and trash removal: Coordinate the regular gathering and proper disposal of non-hazardous debris and trash across interior spaces, facility exteriors, and parking areas.
  • Support site supervision and management: Assign daily tasks, monitor crew progress, assist with work scheduling, and cover for the Site Operations Manager during absences or high-volume periods.
