Construction Control Representative

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as a Team Leader in the Area/Resident Office directing and coordinating field staff and contractors/subcontractors to ensure adherence to policies and schedules, controlling quality of construction, gathering data for estimates and change orders, progress reports, safety.

Review plans and specifications to assure that team members are thoroughly familiar with job requirements.

Oversee and verify the preparation of sketches and estimates for required changes.

Liaise between team members and contractors to coordinate work on all projects, resolve controversial problems and/or conflicting interests.

Monitor accurate, timely reporting of construction site concerns such as progress, delays, claims, accidents, and injuries in order to document adherence to construction plans such as predetermined schedules and budget constraints.

Confer with contractor and discuss contractor's work schedules, submission of shop drawings, materials and/or certification for testing and approval.
