Construction Control Representative
Summary
Oversee construction projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, ensuring contractors meet plans, specs, and safety standards through inspections and progress tracking.
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as project representative in charge of one or more construction projects in a geographic area. Condition of Employment: Security Clearance and Drug Test Requirements differs for each duty location, see additional Information and condition of employment.
Manage the contractor’s sequencing and phasing of complex, multi-phase construction projects to minimize disruptions to customer operations, ensure project milestones are achieved, and track and document all delays.
Participate in the three-phase inspection process by conducting preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections to verify compliance with contract requirements, plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Provide on-site construction surveillance to ensure the contractor performs quality control and completes work in accordance with approved plans and specifications.
Prepare daily reports, status updates, and other documentation to keep stakeholders and contractors informed of construction progress and project status.
Coordinate with contractor representatives to interpret contract plans, specifications, and technical requirements.
Review and discuss construction schedules, plans of operation, safety programs, shop drawings, project progress, and quality control reports to ensure the contractor fully understands and complies with contract requirements.
