Construction Coordinator in Wichita

The Construction Coordinator supports commercial, aerospace, hospital, residential, commercial, and industrial restoration and remediation projects, as well as emergency disaster response efforts. Reporting to the Project Manager and Director of Operations, this role provides administrative support, independent coordination, and full project coordination across Wichita and the Kansas market, with occasional local travel between project sites. The coordinator works directly with customers and project stakeholders while helping drive projects from bidding through completion, with growth opportunities toward Project Manager or Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project scheduling, crews, subcontractors, materials, permits, and day-to-day operations.
• Track permits, materials, change orders, invoices, project documentation, and required paperwork.
• Conduct job site meetings with owners and maintain direct communication with customers throughout projects.
• Prepare progress reports and support bidding activities.
• Perform on-site job inspections, safety inspections, and quality monitoring.
• Coordinate safety efforts, on-the-job training, and classroom training leading to IICRC certifications.
• Assist with hiring and firing and oversee crew coordination.
• Remain on call to respond to customers during times of need and support emergency disaster response projects.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience with construction scheduling, blueprint reading, and project management software.
• Experience managing subcontractors and construction documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
