Construction - Electrician Journeyperson

Duties and responsibilities

Completion of 4 years apprenticeship program
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues as faulty wiring, malfunctioning circuits and equipment failure
Properly and safely install, replace and repair electrical systems, lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels, including energy-efficient systems
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations, including in-slab installations.
Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors.
Splice, join, and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.
Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of the system following installation, replacement, or repair.
Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components.
Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices, and heating and cooling systems.
Plan and execute electrical installations, including EMT and conduit work.
Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
Support the growth and development of company culture
Performs other duties as required

Requirements

6-10 years working in a filed
leadership
position available for journeyperson to foreperson

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet 10hrs day
Must be able to lift 30-50lbs as needed
Must be able to work in outdoor weather and/or unregulated temperatures for 10hrs a day
