  • Develop competitive, comprehensive bids for underground utility, excavation, grading, and other heavy civil construction projects.
  • Analyze project specifications, site conditions, and potential challenges to identify risks and cost considerations.
  • Solicit, review, and evaluate pricing from subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to develop realistic construction methods, schedules, and cost projections.
  • Review historical project costs and production information to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare and organize detailed bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor bid opportunities, maintain estimating schedules, and ensure proposals are completed accurately and submitted on time.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and alternative construction approaches without compromising quality or safety.
  • Assist with project handoffs, budgeting, and project management responsibilities as needed.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and other industry partners.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
