Summary

Mid-to-senior construction estimator prepares cost estimates for commercial and government projects using blueprints and estimating software, working remotely in US Pacific Time.

Position: Construction Estimator (Electrical / Multi-Trade)

Level: Mid to Senior (3–10+ years)

Location: Remote

Schedule: Full-time | US Pacific Time

Compensation: $1,500–$2,500 USD/month

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial and government construction projects.

  • Review architectural and engineering drawings to develop accurate estimates.

  • Identify missing information and document assumptions when plans are incomplete.

  • Prepare bids for projects ranging from $500K–$5.5M.

  • Coordinate with senior estimators to refine pricing and methodology.

  • Utilize estimating software and AI tools to improve efficiency.

  • Support fast-paced bid submissions while maintaining accuracy.

Experience

  • 3+ years of US construction estimating experience

  • Civil Engineering degree or equivalent construction/trade background

  • Experience estimating commercial or government projects preferred

Technical Skills

  • Strong blueprint reading and quantity takeoff skills

  • Experience with construction estimating software

  • Comfortable using AI tools to improve productivity

Soft Skills

  • Strong English communication

  • Critical thinker and problem solver

  • Able to work independently and manage tight deadlines

  • Comfortable making reasonable assumptions when plans are incomplete
