Responsibilities
- Direct daily work activities of crew members and provide training to new workers to ensure operational efficiency
- Plan and schedule daily tasks to meet project milestones and deadlines effectively
- Enforce safety protocols and building codes by conducting regular on-site safety talks and monitoring compliance
- Serve as the primary communication link between field workers and upper management or project managers to facilitate smooth operations
- Track equipment usage and manage orders for necessary building materials to maintain resource availability
Required competencies and certifications
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans to guide construction activities
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines, to maintain a safe work environment
- Physical capability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift heavy materials to perform construction tasks safely and effectively
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of hands-on construction experience combined with crew leadership skills to manage team performance and project delivery
