Construction Inspector
- Perform daily inspection, sampling, and testing of contractor’s finished work to verify that it conforms to the contract documents before the work is accepted.
- Perform inspection of contractor’s interim work that determines the quality of the finished work when the contract documents call for it.
- Meet with contractors daily to coordinate what completed or in-progress work required inspection, sampling, and testing.
- Prepare daily inspection reports of all construction activities, inspections, samples, tests, work progress, quantities completed, weather, visitors, deficient interim work, non-conforming permanent work, root causes of issues, and contractor corrective actions.
- Submit daily reports to the supervising Professional Engineer for review and feedback of any corrections before the Professional Engineer signs off on the reports.
- Other duties assigned by the Professional Engineer.
