CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR I
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, works with minimum supervision and has responsibility for observing and properly documenting work performed by contractors in the construction and installation of water mains, fire hydrants services, water storage tank, booster pump stations, and water treatment facilities.
JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for a variety of tasks and duties, which may include, but would not be limited to, the following:

Interface with contractors to ensure compliance with company specifications, and assist with scheduling work between contractors and developers, where required.

Coordinate any field changes with contractor and engineering department.

Observe and schedule a variety of tests and measurements, including pressure testing, chlorine concentration and bacteriological tests.

Maintain field notes on projects to monitor daily progress, identify location of pipe, valves and fittings, and record quantity of work accomplished.

Inspect paving repairs and monitor temporary paving.

Perform other tasks and duties as directed.
