Construction Installer - Lift Industry
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, layout drawings, and technical specifications.
Install new elevators in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.
Assemble and install elevator components, including guide rails, elevator cars, motors, control systems, and associated equipment.
Connect electrical wiring and perform functional testing to ensure systems operate correctly.
Carry out troubleshooting, adjustments, and commissioning during the installation process.
Perform elevator removals and modernization projects.
Ensure all installations comply with relevant safety regulations, building codes, and manufacturer guidelines.
Work closely with the Project Manager and installation team to achieve project deadlines.
Submit accurate daily site reports.
Communicate site progress, risks, delays, and technical issues clearly and promptly.
Maintain tools, equipment, and company assets in good working condition.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational requirements.
Take ownership and responsibility for the quality of work completed and the sites assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric).
Valid South African driver's licence.
Minimum 2 years' experience as an Elevator/Lift Installer.
Experience in elevator installations, removals, and modernization projects.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
Good understanding of installation safety standards and industry regulations.
Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
