Construction Laborer

A construction laborer will perform tasks involving physical labor for highway and site construction projects. This position may operate hand power tools.
Job Duties
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor for construction projects for grading, stone, concrete, paving, and utility division.
- Shovel asphalt into construction area.
- Assist in patching asphalt with hot and cold mix.
- Excavate and fills trenches and ditches
- Fine grade fill to grades given by foreman.
- Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, clean up rubble and debris, and remove asbestos, lead, and other hazardous waste materials.
- Material handling and storage.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Willingly attend and support Foremen/Superintendents during morning huddles and toolbox talks.
- Other duties as assigned.
